Ava Mocoi premieres and wins Grand Prize at Oberhausen.

The film Ava Mocoi, Os Gêmeos (Ava Mocoi, The Twins) , written and directed by Luiza Calagian and Vinicius Toro and edited by Luiza Calagian , premiered in 2022 at the renowned Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen , where it received the Grand Prize in the Online Competition .

Following its premiere, the film was selected for more than ten international festivals and events, including the Biarritz Amérique Latine Film Festival , the Clermont-Ferrand Market , and Kinoforum , among others.

The film was made collaboratively and with much love. It was born from a relationship built over about a decade with the Guarani people and speaks of their spirituality, their struggle, and their strength. Traveling the world, the film carried with it the beautiful Guarani words and the seed of a better future that they hold.
